Ode to my body

I love my body like a distant friend

We don’t talk much

But when we do

It’s like she never left

My desire for her was a secret I never kept

She loves me too

Decorating our temple

But we both know we can’t live in here

Forever

I went through so much

Pain

Trying to alter her out of love

But we both know we’ll have to go up above

are we just another grain in the sandbox

Just another flesh robot

That dead drops

Another bill for a coffin box

Another expired loved one that was lost

when these bones start to brittle

All I’m left with is my mental

And I want her to be proud of me

I want love to fluctuate like the blood in my body

I want this trial to be worth my fait

I want this tribulation to be worth risking my faith

I want to be as invincible as the only begotten son

Because yes his body was hurting but his mind was simply not here

once I reach that level of Conscience

I’ll live with no fear

This piece is just my view on how it’s important to love your body, but also remembering how important mentality is.
