Way up high

Where the sun wakes up

Where the fog covers the earth like a blanket


My family is here


A  house in the Adirondack mountains

Slowly getting swallowed by the forest in the backyard

The laced curtains in the windows yellowing with age


Nothing but silence filling your ears

Howls in the night making you shiver

The moon taking the sky over


I love it here

Out in the middle of nowhere


A place away from reality

A space where I can be myself


No makeup

Shorts and a baggy tee


A place of euphoria

It's what everyone needs
