Bring
This season brings gratefulness for
my friends, who call me out
to travel and experience the fall
in all its Glory. It brings my eyes
to cold weather football, which the
Steelers dominate every year. And I am
forcefully given memes by Claire, who has
destroyed my sense of humor, but like “in a fun way.”
This time of year calls forth the
smell of Chex Mix cooking, which
in turn brings me floating down the stairs
like a character in a Warner Bros cartoon.
The chilly air summons the feeling of
Christmas, peeking it’s rosy cheeks around
the calendar corner. Also creeping is Cousin
Sebastian, from San Fran. He’s a part
of the West Coast Kauffman Clan, here
for the holidays. I hide from him in my room,
gazing longingly at all the new game releases
that I don’t have the funds to buy.
November brings a lot, but what it really brings
Is a reminder to be thankful.
