The Question

For the longest
I’ve reflected
On my past
And I can’t
Help but to
Take pity on
The old me.
He was too
Young to know
What went on
Behind closed doors.
He was trapped
In his own
Reality that he
Handcrafted.
But when all
That came crumbling
Down on top
He soon realized
What needed to
Be done.
He had to
Step up to
The plate.
But was he
Ready to experience
The truth?
That is still unanswered.
