My Time
Who knows?
Who cares?
These are things I say often
To express my undying disdain
For irrelevant problems that
Peers put in my way.
How little do they know
That none of them will
Cross my mind in a matter
Of years.
Soon I will be elsewhere
With others that deal
With piddly problems.
Soon I will lend my ear
Once again to the nonsense
Of individuals that are
Temporary.
But until then
I can’t help but ask
Myself,
Who will lend their ear to me
When my miniscule ordeals
Cloud my thoughts and
Obscure my vision?
Who can I count on
When my time comes
To be the listened
Instead of
The listener?
