Winter Break
Break broke my heart,
And all the emotion in. my too.
Who knew holidays can be dark,
And colored a black stormy gloom.
Holidays were starry white lights,
And the warmth from boiled hibuscus tea.
Now they are the ghosts
That sneakily catch up on me,
And leave a whiff of dread,
And a bereft of glee.

I wrote this poem in the beginning of winter break. I was not so optimistic of how I was going to spend two weeks in dreary foggy whether outside the balcony where the fake tree stand before. I possiblily wrote this poem to express my sadness and dissapointment of not receiving present on the holiday compared to a week before...or maybe because the house was missing its pine tree scent...
Well then...today is the last day of winter break, and tommorow I will go back to my routine of loving latin and waiting to take some action in WISE club at my school. WISE stands for Women In Stem Education!
Thanks for checking out my simple poem,
