Blessed is the sand that follows you everywhere
The burns you get from the sun’s heat
The shoes that carry you from place to place
And the bugs that cause nightmares

Blessed be the laughter with friends
The sound of violins
The eyes of those who have joy

Blessed be the books that pull you in
The dreams of the hopeless
The birds who protect their flock
The cries of pure happiness

Blessed are the clothes that become too small
The arguing love of mother and daughter
The brooms that sweep up life’s messes

Blessed be the humbleness of the world

The author's comments:

I love writing because it brings out a creative side that's in me. Writing is an outlet for me when i'm feeling stressed, sad, mad and happy. This piece is about belssing things that you might not normally bless.
