Voice of a Thousand Songs
It’s a feeling, that
Cannot be described
In simple words
To sing,
Comforts me.
It steals my nervous stutter
And sells it to the wind.
It fills my throat with tales of others
And my ears
With hand made music.
Stories flow from my mouth,
Filled with emotion
In perfect pitch.
In written rhythm.
In any way my heart may choose.
If I could,
If it was possible,
If time would stop,
And if
All aging,
All action,
All judgement,
All decay,
Would cease.
I would sing forever.
Each
Word,
Phrase, and
Anecdote,
Could soar like a bird
Using the wings
That only song can grant.
