Tear Open Heaven
My mind has drawn overcast.
All that is left,
Is the occasional moonlight
seeping out a blinding fluorescent glow.
Stars are concealed.
The shimmering million
of the night sky’s freckles
are nowhere to be found.
Close your eyes.
Listen to the trees roar
as they imitate the ocean.
I am frozen to the core,
full of nothing.
Do you feel it too?
There is no moon,
but a hole punched in God’s umbrella.
Reach out and grab it.
Tear open Heaven.
