Little Fingers
Little fingers grasp his hand
Wishing for some warmth to escape
For one more breath, one more heartbeat
One more night being tucked into sleep
One more cry, one more laugh
One more day, sitting on his lap
One more day, one more moment
One more word whispered in her ear
One more chamce to take back such
harsh words said
And instead replace them with
I Love You
For she can't do this because you're gone
Five long years since you passed on
She needs you more than ever now
She wishes for one more chance to see her father
For now she feels farther than ever
