Blink
I wish I could see the stars
But when the sun lays down in its bed on the horizon
When the sky floods with ink and dust and smoke
The only lights that twinkle
Blink
But they don't blink at me
The only lights that twinkle
Are red and green and come and go
They don't blink at me
Where are you, my queen?
My crab?
My little twin friends?
Have you abandoned me?
Where are your specks of silver and gold?
That once greeted me with a smile and a whisper
Has your smile been muffled?
All I hear is silence
A buzz, wrapping the space around me
I am alone
And now there are few of them left
I give my love
Can you reach me?
