Veins
These veins are made strong
Enriched from the natures of itself
But strong can only cradle so much
I live in the remains of a mind
Where rotting comes kindly
Trust me I see
Nature’s pride
And she has only hung me up to dry
I can’t breathe
My lungs are closing
My toes curl at the thought
I’m straw sucked clean
And I’m gasping for air
And you told me
it’s only lost hydration
See, these veins
Are my lifeline
I can’t count to you
The all the times I've scabbed over
After weekly cleansing---draining
But I’m still stained
