Fake Love
I’ve been caught
In a web of lies,
Words spoken from
The mouth of someone
I used to love.
Ensnared in fake words
Used to chain me,
Locked in a never-ending
Fight for truth and happiness.
Confusion and pain
Are results of my hope.
I thought I was loved
But everyone knew the truth.
Gullible and kind,
Two qualities that
Were my downfall.
Exploitation and selfishness
Were his.
All he knew were
Deceitful words,
Fake love.
