May eighth, on our first date,

He was perfect, passionate and pleasant to be around.

It was great, he was my soulmate.

That’s when I knew he was the one I wanted.

But there was something wrong, acting like I didn’t belong.

I knew there was something, you were hiding.

But I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.

The one day, we sat on a hill, staying until the moon was full,

But then you said, you were walking on a thin thread.

“Please be free from me,” he said.

The words that you said left like a thousand thorns.

But you were just warning me for when the time would come.

He was still young, and he didn’t have long,

Still, I never gave up, I never let you go.

He was trying to protect me, telling me to leave

But I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.

The time came, just when I took your name.

He heard my Siren and the ambulances.

I have loved him since forever,

He was always a blessing soul in disguise.

I have lived, I have loved, but I confess that felt less when he finally left.

I will never forget, and I won’t regret.

But I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.

Refrain from “Can’t Help Falling In Love” a Song by Elvis Presley
