I've loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night - Galileo Galilei

She had walls built tall and strong

Of joy and anguish

Every tiny memory could be seen etched into them

Years of hurricanes and storms wouldn’t be able to tear down her city

She had watch towers built

Of wisdom and recklessness

Not a single bird could go by without being seen by them

Watching over, protecting the city once made of ash and dust

She had a majestic castle in the midst of this magical city

No other beauty could surpass this home

It preserved a fragile and gentle gift

One so rare that once it was lost

It would never return

A gift that had once been at the verge of vanishing

It was worth more then gold and was more dangerous than fire

Her city worked day and night

To protect this thing

This perplexing thing

That no one could understand

This thing

Also known as

Love.
