Life
They always tell you to have patience
when you’re waiting for something good
something that will make your heart skip that beat,
that single moment that will completely your life
scraping all your dreams together into one moment.
I don’t want to be stuck
In repetitive motions.
I want to enjoy the thrill of life,
The enthralling feeling at the highest points
And the triumph of finally getting out from the low ones.
People say high school is a time to find yourself,
To figure out who you truly desire to become.
High school has rather taught me who I don’t want to become.
I don’t want to be the person
Who relies on others for happiness
Who must have others attention to be content with themselves
I don’t want to be anyone else
Other than myself.
