The Goal..
A whispering winding pathway
The tearful twilight feeling
A day about to die, to let others rise
I must go first
My influences found forsaken
The road narrows, thorns cave in
I can’t quit
It’s my journey, joyfully I go
Pain pursues the righteous
Mistakes make the man
Lessons like Leopards crouching
In the distance I hear a battle
I Imagine few will survive
They fight for a mystery forgotten
Men maim for reasons repulsive
Some never know why
They fight with words, thoughts
I walk on, I see a pillar
Old and otherwise crumbling
The top greets the greats
Few scale the spectre
Less receive the reward wanted
I dream of my destiny
The end gets clearer
The Sun slowly rises, like a bud blooming
The race continues, the challenges increase
As all fight, claw, cry or give up
I step in silence with few beside me
The goal, the dream, the reward
Just out of reach.
