More Than just strength
The time has come
Staring out at the quiet crowd, watching intcly
Grabbing the cold rough bar, feeling the weight feeling as if it is a million pound
Knowing that the weight is not the problem but my mind
Telling myself over and over I can do it
But still seeing that little picture in the back of my head
Of that one word that every person hates
A word that can simply destroy someone
Failure but failure does not stop time
The time clicks down it is time to lift
Pulling the bar like a truck built to do so
Locked in for wheel drive pulling with all its might
Knowing that truck has to be fast a cheetah
I catch the weight as it presses down on my body crushing it a popcan
My legs strong as a bull push that weight up with ease
Standing there gasping for air knowing what comes next
Putting the weight over my head
This what makes or breaks the difference between a win and a loss
Like a rattlesnake a simple raddle then it strikes
I push the weight with my might
My feet split and my arms lock
As straight as steel post hoping they won't break
Waiting for what seems an eternity
