Are dreams real?

No. They are in your mind.

Does that mean they're not real. 

Look. You see this rock. This is real. Dreams aren't.

How do you know that this rock is real?

It's in my hand.

And how do you know that.

I can feel it in my fingers.

Does that not apply to dreams as well? Can you not feel a rock in your dreams?

But that's in your dreams. The rock you feel isn't real. 

And this one is?

Yes!

How do you know?

I feel it! I see it!

So you can't feel and see rocks in your dreams?

No! I mean, yes. But dreams aren't real, they are your own perception. 

And this rock is not?

No!

So you can only justify the existence of this rock through your own senses. 

Okay. Do you see this rock. 

No.

Yes you do!

It doesn't matter if I do. Your reality has no bearing on mine. 

What do you mean?
