Take Note
Take note of the stars
Notice how they twinkle and dance
Each of them is someone
Someone who’s been loved
Someone who’s been lost
They look down from heaven
And wait to be joined
Take note of the sunset
How it seems to call your name
Someone you’ve lost is missing you
And knows you feel the same
They paint the sky bold and bright
To let you know love’s eternal
Take note of the sirens
Wailing down the street
Take a moment to pray
For someone is in need
Take note
Take note of the simple things
Take note of what’s beyond what you can see
Because there’s more than your perspective
When you widen your gaze
And take note of others’ views
You discover just how narrowly fixed your gaze was
