Colored Sky
Colored Sky
As Dad drives me home,
I watch the trees fly by.
I look past them
and see the setting sun.
However, there's not much pink
and orange in the sky.
The clouds seem
to have decided that they want to stay blue.
They are not ready to let go of the color
that they wore a few hours earlier
when they were crying.
They’re still holding onto
their grey-blue.
Some of the clouds give into the Sun’s powerful pink,
but the rest stand strong.
I smile up at the sky and think
“How lucky we are to have such a beautiful sky.”
