the truth about dreaming

They tell us to dream above the beyond,
but we must be realistic, dear
dreaming is not reality.
This cruel world will shatter
every hope and desire
that lingers through our young minds.
So instead why don’t we daydream?
Because in all’s reality, my love,
the present is the outcome.
So don’t be like the world,
don’t shatter my heart.
As i’m getting lost while
staring into your dusk eyes...
...right now.
