Truth Or Lies
Insecurities hit hard,
Harder than you think.
I feel sometimes,
That I've been pushed to the brink.
Ethnicities,
A word to describe your life.
I feel as though,
My problems from there are rife.
Sometimes my sister tells me,
You have the asian eye.
And I ask myself,
Is that truth or lies?
People can tell me,
My beauty is reflected in and out.
I don't hesitate to ask,
If my yearnings make me devout.
My friends tell me my voice is fine,
I still hear it somewhat high.
And I ask about their comments,
Is that truth or lies?
Insecurities hit hard,
Harder than you think.
I feel sometimes,
That I've been pushed to the brink.
