Excuse
Every day I wake up and say
Something I hope you will accept
I hope there will be a smile, but blank your face will stay
Dreams explode In my head.
Visions of beaches and trenches
Visions of love and trees,
Mountains and abodes scrape the sky.
They would only become a gleam in my eye.
Next you would say something,
Something that could only pay your nearest desires cold, hard cash.
"yes" was just a way to cover the expectations you stole
it would slash at my eye,
Taking out the dreams I hope would be a reality of mine.
Little would I know you would be twisting and turning
Leaving me hungry and yearning
Watching and held back by the dreams of my mind,
Being played out in realty right in front of my eyes.
