the black world
the world is black.
pitch black.
blacker than the deepest of oceans,
blacker than the souls of those who roam,
and blacker
then the heart of man.
there are no stars,
no sun,
no moon,
that can lift this frightening darkness.
yet somehow,
a small lift of the lips,
and a reveal of bone,
suddenly makes the world bright again.
