RED
The color red amuses me,
It depicts things differently,
Its varied meanings just baffles me,
It can be quite confusing.
Sometimes it can be a depiction of love,
It can talk about passion,
While at other times it lets you know about anger,
It can signify aggression.
Signifying danger and courage,
It is the color of fire,
Yet at the same time, it can be warm and soft,
The beautiful roses which we admire.
The color red cheats,
It shouts joy and happiness,
While the same color,
Can talk about vexation and vengeance.
But, What if it’s just our perception?
What if it’s just a matter of what we perceive?
Or what if the color is two-faced?
What if the color red deceives?

Hi! Ananya here! This piece of poetry is rather something unusual and different for me. It is a poem on how color Red can carry contradictive meanings to itself and depict things differently. . It is the color for anger , yet it can also signify love at the same time . It is quite a question I have, and a feeling that the color deceives and is two-faced . But perhaps , it can only be a matter of different opinions people have, and how they perceive and see the color Red. To each its own I guess!
