There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter. —Rachel Carson

I feel your pain as of it were mine,

I cry your tears like my own,

I utter your wishes when you need them;

I know you need them,

But you don't know.

Your woe is mine to share,

Along with your misery and suffering,

It's like we're chained together,

Bound by heartbreak,

And yet separated by words,

Those unforgiving words.
