     my callous fingers and callous words
play hidden tunes trapped inside my anxious soul
they deeply stab
piercing your superficial skin
toxic attacks launched from spirited trumpets
praise deadly sins
I want to do it
again
and
again
a couple of stanzas and
a few paragraphs tap by
capturing the changing rhythm of
forbidden love
overwhelming pride
underlying fears
promises I swore I would keep secret
kicking them all in your face
my raging sentences flow like discordant notes
quickly killing in the air
some scream
truly afraid
I am
a creative musician
pens are my wands
gliding back and forth
I feel the jazz
poetry and
prose moves me like the pleasing sounds of the sax
gripping hidden emotions
that slither through paper like sneaky serpents
they are infectious melodies
let me play my tune
with words as sweet and as smooth
as jagged blades
dim the bright lights
let me fight
let me write
let me play
until the day
I say
stop the music

"..though warm as summer it was fresh as spring." (Thomas Hardy) ("Far from the Madding crowd")

This is beautiful; just lovely. The melodic prose flows so sweetly :)

This is good stuff man, it has a good flow and rhythm to it, you could work on your pace though. But Jack Karouac would be proud
