Listen to the creaking ribs 
Feel it smash against its cage 
bum bum, bum bum 
 
Hear the desperation to escape,  
But don’t be sympathetic  
To its wretchedness  
bum bum, bum bum 
 
Try not to remember when it held beauty 
When it gave you warmth 
Pumping it through your whole body 
bum bum, bum bum 
 
Because our hearts can turn into monsters 
That belong in a cage
