Narcissus was a Romantic
Stop romanticizing far-off lands and foreign dreams.
Romanticize the sun,
and the trees,
and the rain,
and the way that you breathe.
Romanticize yourself—
like a renaissance oil painting—
you are a masterpiece,
your life is a masterpiece.
Do not lose your own magic in the war of comparison.
You do not have to be beach breezes
and mountain air to be beautiful,
you just have to be alive;
feel the sun on your face
or stand still in the movement of the rain.
You are picturesque—
you just have to picture it.
