Blue

The sea walks into the jagged rocks.
The sky wavers through foreboding clouds.
I sit upon the poised dock.
My pulse becomes placid, my mind mollifies.
A melancholy persists, silent yet deafening.
But it is not painful, it is not unwanted.
Solemness for the past brings hope for a new beginning
As I watch the blue world unfold from the pier.
I take a breath, take in the blue
And stand up, ready for something new.
