Heavy
my face is Heavy
Heavy with wrinkles
my face is Heavy
wrinkled with Age
Age that I gain every passing minute
Age that far surpasses the Age of those around me
the kind that can only be described as fleeting
the kind where days turn to weeks
turn to months
turn to years
to decades
to centuries
my face is Heavy
wrinkled with Knowledge
Knowledge only a lifetime could bring
Knowledge of true happiness
of fulfillment
of the meaning of living
my face is Heavy
wrinkled with Love
Love for my family
for my friends
my acquaintances
people
Love for experiences
the bad, the good
the lonely, the social
the failures, the successes
Love for the Earth
that whose face is Heavier than mine
more wrinkled than mine
more Aged, more Knowledgeable, more Experienced than I
Love for the planet from which I came
on which I live
to which I feel myself returning
my face is no longer Heavy
but the Earth’s is now Heavier
