I walk into my sunlit bedroom
with my hand firmly gripped onto
the tiny, cold, metal object.
After two years of bruised kneecaps,
jammed fingers, and sore arms
we finally reached our dream.
With Bridgette’s one final set
Club RoMo 14’s won first in silver,
my first ever medal.
Now it’s hung on my door
where I see it every morn.
