A LETTER TO SOCIETY
Dear society,
you destroyed her
She cared about the comments you made about her weight,
she cared about the looks of disappointment on your face
She cared about your judgment, your opinion, your ideals of pretty or not...
She cared
You made her feel secluded like she would never belong
Every time she walked, you looked at her with those judgey little eyes
You made her hate everything about herself
She hates how she’s always hurting and disappointing the ones she loves
How she can never do anything right
She hates the scars on her body because you said that they were ugly
your words cut through her soul like knives, breaking through her skin, touching her bones
she couldn’t take it anymore
you succeeded in holding her
down
down
down …
Dear society, you destroyed her.
