Beep Beep Beeeeeeeeeep. The heart rate monitor screams as I run around the small hospital room. There was nothing I could do. I was no doctor or medical professional. The room was spinning as I looked down at the lifeless face that was once full of light. I collapse to my knees, my whole body violently lurching. All I could feel was the serpent inside me writhing through my blood and veins. I couldn’t hear anything, not the nurses rushing around me and not the shrill tone of the heart rate monitor. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of lost spirits that had lost their love just like me. Time seemed to blur and I was home in my bed and feeling the emptiness that would never cease beside me. I fell asleep that night dreaming of the memories that used to be. They were sucking me of my energy like an endless black hole. I felt lost and I was never found.

This is a piece about sorrow. This is the first piece in my hope to be a saga of each emotion that is important.
