To the girl who saved me when I didn’t know I was drowning
I didn’t realize I was drowning until you pulled me out of the water
Until you poured air into struggling lungs
And breathed love into a broken heart
I didn’t realize I was drowning until you pulled me from the water
Until you put me on your shoulders and lifted me up out of the water
And stayed until I could breathe again
