A tear, slowly trickling down a cheek

Salty, stinging as it makes its way down

Tears of effort and laborious work

Striving, reaching towards a goal far away

In vain this tear is, pain sorrow and all

There will be no results to satisfy,

No meaning, or destination at all

To balance the embittering, stinging…

PAIN

No more perseverance will yield results

Hope vanishes like a sad blown out spark

That has taken sweaty hours to build

The rain comes, the spark will never return

Then…

A seed sprouts from the rain to a flower

Growing taller through the rain and sunshine

Smiling at the world and giving it hope

To try something new throughout all the rain

I live in Brooklyn. In my voluminous spare time I enjoy writing poetry, building robots, playing piano and guitar, crocheting amigurumis, and reading fantasy.
