The Christmas Spirit
The holiday that's most jolly
Above all others is Christmas
Never forget the joyous sounds
As well as the pretty white trees
Being so gullible had made it so magical
These days it's not the same
Remembering the sounds of hooves on the roof
I swore I heard it
Being told that Santa was watching,
I swore I was nice
Seeing Santa at the mall,
I swore he looked different
Seeing gifts hidden downstairs,
I swore they weren't for me
Being told to grow up,
I swear I believed
And although the magic is gone
I will never forget the feeling
But old traditions don't die
And this time, I will make the magic.
