As another long day passes, it is time for the sun to turn a blind eye
I watch as a shadow is casted upon the town I have come to know
Streets are illuminated by the moon
The stars twinkle through the pines
The breeze is still as warm as the sun had left it
The crickets have began to sing
For once again it is night
For once again, I am alone
But tonight knows no despair
For I finally find peace
Because the day knows me and a shadow
But the night knows only me
