Unrealistic Fantasies
My life filled with a fantasy,
of a future with you.
The fulfillment of my dreams,
happily ever after with you.
A boy chasing his princess.
In our own little home
with our own little children
and our own little dog.
It’ll all be perfect.
Until reality hits.
Witnessing the vacantness of reality,
without you in it.
The dreams I once had filled with satisfaction,
now is left in ruins.
A man fantasizing about an unrealistic notion.
In his so called home
with the children he always wanted
and the dog he’ll never own.
It’s devastating.
Noticing that all his fantasies will never become reality.
