someday?
i wish i had the courage
to dance like nobody's watching
but people are watching, that's the irony
so why pretend they aren't?
i wish i could block out their staring eyes
from my peripheral vision
and stop thinking about how they must be judging me
and enjoy the dance for what it is
and smile for pure joy and not because my moves are fire
because they're not, they're half high school musical
and half stupidity
which is a strange combination
but it's okay, because i can dance for enjoyment
and not to put on a show
if i can just find a way to ignore watching eyes.
