Words
Sticks and stones may break bones, but words will break my confidence. Words will break my trust.
Words will linger in my head turning who I am into who I was.
Words will make my smile fade. Words will make me cry most days.
Words will pick, and pick until there's nothing there. Most times, words are just unfair.
They'll make you hurt, and they'll make you sad. They'll do anything just to make you feel bad.
Words will be hurtful, and they will be mean. Words will make you never want to be seen.
But words are always attached to someone who is mean and rude. Someone who'll do anything, just to change your attitude.
Words are like tattoos, permanently engraved on your being. Because words become beliefs. It's only a matter of time before you begin agreeing.
