My Last Words
I wish you heard my very last words
You took the easy way out,
and you took the fastest route
You only “care” about me for clout
What is this really all about?
I am grateful for the good,
but I despise you for the bad
Do you see how many chances you had?
So many chances to shape up,
to clean up,
and to get up
Is that too hard?
Is the destination too far?
The noises,
the voices,
and the choices
You knew, didn’t you?
You “try”, of course you do
That will never be enough,
but I guess it’s too late to grow up
There’s my last words
I hope I touched those sensitive nerves
