At the dark of the night,
She pledged her soul to the moonlight.
With every last piece of her imagination gone,
She began to fade away.
Now, just a simple puppet to the stars,
She made sure the world could be ours.
Now just a feeble memory,
She is now free.

Hi! This is the first poem I have ever made on TeenInk
I hope you guys like it, and here’s some background about the poem
(DISCLAIMER) read the poem first and then the background of it.
This poem is about a girl running away from all her problems, and nobody ever sees her again. (Which is why she pledges her soul to the moonlight, and she fades away, mostly just a feeble memory to anyone who knew her.)
