The Familiar Place
Once I woke up in a familiar place
but I could not figure out where it was
The escalator began picking up the pace
and I noticed I was sliding through all my photos
My escalator of the camera roll came to a stop
And I began to look around for people
Through a portal, I did hop
And was inside a building reddish-orange and purple
A youthful gorgeous girl's photo was in front of a door
And man was she perfect, her curves, her eye
I opened it to say 'hi' and my jaw dropped to the floor
Inside was a middle-aged woman, and life was indeed a lie
I jumped through the portal into a yellow haunted house (maybe)
But, all that was inside were people with dog features
and animated characters and others smiling with glee
And there were some weird-looking inhumanly humane creatures
The portal took me to a pink building on fire next
And I had a match in my hands. I had to escape
I opened a door with a picture of a guy that looked like my ex
It was my ex. Both our matches caused a fire. But, he was fake.
I ran into a green-white lift that went fast and high
And its buttons turned into mobile numbers
I pushed a random button not wanting to die
It was my late cousin's, he's probably in the embers
I let out a scream that I thought would be my last
But things are not as bad as they seem
I closed my eyes tightly and opened them fast
And this was all just a stupid dream

This is, sort of based on a weird dream I had recently.
