When I first walked into the gym the crowd was loud

But my dad looked really proud

My hands felt heavy and somewhat sweaty

But I knew I was going to be ready

So I thought my coach was somewhat lame

Then when he called my name 

I got on the court

But not too much because they were short

They might have been short and not very tall

But I'm telling you they knew how to ball

I missed some shots and made coach mad

So I sat the bench and it made me sad

Towards the end of the game I got back in

But I got fouled and hurt my shin

So I had to to get subbed out

It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be

So I knew i'll do good the next game without a doubt

My first time playing basketball was kinda tough

The boys I played were rough

But I didn't care I still played through

And I got the win with my crew
