lost loved one
The days go by, so slowly and grey,
Since you've been gone, I've lost my way.
The world feels empty, dark, and cold,
Without you here, my heart feels old.
I try to smile and carry on,
But my heart aches, my spirit's gone.
I miss your voice, your laugh, your touch,
I miss you, oh so very much.
I know you're in a better place,
But I can't help this tear-stained face.
I'll hold you close within my heart,
And never let us be apart.
Until we meet again someday,
I'll keep your memory close, I'll pray.
You were my brother, my family,
And no one else can ever fill that hole.
