Camp Michawana Memories
Camp Michawana Memories
As my mom drives up
The loud and bumpy road
All I hear are the leaves
Rustling and the bird chirping
The sun just merely blinding
Me from the top of the trees
As we turn into the only sandy path
The black and blue cabins stand old but strong
As if having been built just yesterday
Stopping at the mess hall
And seeing campers laugh
Pots and pans making tonight's dinner
Just beyond the edge, right out the window
Lies the clear and glistening lake
Full and boats and revving jet skies
At night is when all is quiet
With only the sounds from
Swishing waves
And the cackling of fire

I have only been to this camp twice but the experience it gave me and the friends and memories I have gained, this place is like my second home.
