Forest Glade

In a forest glade so serene,

A Snorlax slumbered, its belly lean,

But hunger struck with sudden might,

And Snorlax rose, a lumbering sight.

It searched around with sleepy eyes,

Soon found a tree of massive size,

With leaves so green and branches high,

It towered above into the sky

Snorlax opened wide its massive maw,

And started chewing with a loud gnaw,

The bark and wood it chomped with glee,

As the tree shook and swayed, unable to flee.

Birds and squirrels quaked in fear,

As Snorlax feasted with merry cheer,

Till not a leaf or twig remained,

And the tree lay bare, its fate ordained.

Snorlax licked its lips and let out a sigh,

As it lay down again to rest and lie,

Dreaming of trees, and mountains, and seas,

And of all the delicious things it could eat with ease.

This is a piece of poetry my friend and I created to express the beauty of nature and everyday life through the adventures of Snorlax in a forest glade.
