All of the Girls
A late night walk
A trip to the bathroom
Never go alone
Every girl understands the buddy system
We are taught to be smart
Always double check
Always lock the doors
You would rather be safe than sorry
Constantly on the lookout
Guard is always up
Painting the worst light of every situation
and what it could have been
We shouldn't have to be afraid
We shouldn't have to double check
We should be able to walk alone
but instead we settle
Talking girls' trips to the bathroom
Being walked to our cars
Questioning every second look
Checking the backseat
Fearing the dark
Being reminded of what could go wrong
On TV
In movies
Why should we have to worry?
